“The Parker Police Department has initiated criminal proceedings against Vonnie B’VSean Miller at this office,” the statement said. “After examining all of the materials, the District Attorney’s Office determined that the case will not be charged.”
According to a person familiar with the situation, the investigation was related to interactions between Miller and his ex-girlfriend Megan Denise, which earlier this year text messages on social media that she intended were from him. One of them read, “I honestly pray for a miscarriage,” after Denise posted a picture of an ultrasound on Jan. 4th.
Miller appeared to deny the allegations, and Denise later insinuated that her comments were “misinterpreted”.
“Given the recent media coverage of my relationship with Von, I feel like there are a few things I need to address,” she wrote on Instagram. “First of all, at no point in our relationship has there been any form of physical abuse or violence from Von. It is wrong for someone to say or speculate otherwise.
“When it came to my social media posts, part of it was misinterpreted and taken out of context. I regret having made a private situation public and paying unwanted attention to both Von and me. Von and I are very excited to welcome our baby into the world and are determined to raise our child together as a family with love and compassion. “
Miller, who turns 32 later this month, was the MVP of the Broncos’ Super Bowl 50 victory over the Carolina Panthers and the team’s career bagman. He didn’t play last season with an ankle injury and has one year left on his contract which includes a team option. Should the Broncos exercise the option before March 16, $ 7 million of Miller’s $ 17.5 million salary is fully guaranteed. If the team rejects the option, Miller becomes a free agent and the team saves $ 18 million in salary caps.
“We want to bring Von back and are still working on it,” said George Paton, general manager of Broncos, to the Denver media on Friday. “I don’t want to go into everything, but we want to bring him back. Obviously the legal process and what it is going through is a serious situation. I don’t know all the details, but we respect what’s going on. We want Von back. “
