Manchester United star Bruno Fernandes was reportedly angry with manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and his tactics during Tottenham Hotspur’s recent 6-1 humiliation of the club.

The Red Devils were bashed by Spurs on October 4 when they conceded six goals for the second time in 80 years at Old Trafford.

A United insider said of an angry Fernandes at halftime, according to UK newspaper The Mirror:

“You couldn’t help but hear him.

“He was visibly angry after his face like thunder as he raced down the tunnel.

“He has signed teammates and accused them of failing to maintain the proud Manchester United name.

“He kept shouting, ‘We’re supposed to be Manchester United. That should not happen. ‘

“It was clear that the manager was also coming under fire for using the wrong tactics.

“There were other voices raised, but his was the one that seemed to carry the main force.”

A United States official reportedly denied that there was an argument between Fernandes and Solskjaer: “There was no argument. Players often express their views. “

The Red Devils had taken the lead within two minutes thanks to Fernandes’ penalty, but Tanguy Ndombele and Heung-Min Son hit back quickly and Tottenham were ahead just five minutes later.

Don’t feed the trolls! Marcus Rashford was named the Premier League’s Most Trolled Player.

United’s afternoon got worse when Anthony Martial was controversially dismissed mid-first half.

After Erik Lamela threw an arm in his face, the Frenchman reciprocated with a gentle slap on the Argentine. Only Martial was sent off when it appeared that either the yellow cards were enough for both players or they should both have received their marching orders.

Harry Kane made the scorers list before Son scored again, beating Spurs 4-1 at halftime.

At this point it is understandable that Solskjaer wanted to take out an attacking player like Fernandes to close the store on defensive reinforcements, but they could have dealt with the Portuguese playmaker’s fire in the second half.

Despite Solskjaer’s efforts to make United safer, they conceded two more goals against Serge Aurier and Kane after the break.

Fernandes has been one of the Red Devils’ best players since joining from Sporting Lisbon in January. He scored 14 goals and 10 assists in 26 games.
