Chad Wheeler broke his silence on Twitter today following domestic violence with girlfriend Alleah over the weekend. His apology came right after the Seattle Seahawks posted a statement on Twitter that they did not approve of his actions and that he was a free agent and no longer on the team. Chad was on the platform all day so it was appropriate that he apologize publicly.
He tweeted, “It’s time for me to step away from football and get the help I need to never pose a threat to anyone again. I cannot express my grief or remorse enough. I am really ashamed. I apologize very much for the turmoil I’ve caused to my family, my teammates, fans and those closest to me. The most important thing right now is that Alleah gets the care she needs and I get help. Both happen. “
Chad continued, “The weekend events came out of a manic episode. I am very sorry for the pain and suffering I have caused Alleah and her family. “
As we recently reported, Chad was being held in King County Jail on suspicion of domestic violence. He is charged with assaulting his girlfriend at a Kent, WA residence. According to the Seattle Times, Chad appeared in King County District Court on January 25 and his bail was set at $ 400,000. Court records show he was admitted to the King County Correctional Facility in Seattle at 1:19 am on January 24th. He was also ordered not to have any contact with the alleged victim and to surrender all weapons.
The roommates didn’t feel his apology. One commented: “Does he feel sorry before or after thinking she was dead and was having dinner next to her unconscious body?”
