Harry Melling, who previously starred in the Harry Potter series, is incredibly grateful that no one recognizes him by his role in the fantasy film. The 31-year-old bears little resemblance to the way he appeared in Harry Potter, and now that he’s starred on three different Netflix projects, Melling doesn’t mind.
Melling reportedly starred in The Old Guard, The Devil All The Time, and The Queen’s Gambit. Melling, 31, told People Magazine reporters that he hoped not everyone would get tired of seeing him on screen.

Melling continued to comment on the coronavirus pandemic, arguing how strange it was. On the one hand, it was unfortunate that people couldn’t go out and live their lives as usual; on the other hand, it was great for Netflix and similar forms of entertainment.
Regarding Melling’s story in the Harry Potter series, Melling explained how he lost a lot of weight after starring in one of the films. When he was re-cast in Deathly Hallows Part One, he had to wear a thick suit to prepare for the weight loss.

According to Harry, he has never consciously tried to lose weight; It was something that only happened as a result of attending drama school and the natural change in his lifestyle. Melling added that one of the “blessings of this type of phase in my life was the fact that I was not recognized”.

Harry said it was a great thing for him because he could star in the incredibly successful film franchise, but had a fresh start in other films as well.
Since leaving Harry Potter, Melling has worked in films such as The Ballad Of Buster Scruggs and The Lost City of Z, among others.
But it wasn’t until 2020 that Melling really stepped up his appearances in films, including the aforementioned three films like The Old Guard. Regarding his character change in The Old Guard, Harry says it was fun playing an evil person once, even though he doesn’t like to think that way about himself.
