It’s super Sunday of interviews with the royal family as the world will tune in tonight to see the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, aka Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, spill tea with Oprah Winfrey.
The main interview has a lot going on beyond the gossip. Palace watchers fear this will arouse anti-monarchist sentiments at a time when the royal family is already being targeted by television shows like The Crown, which are presenting them in an unflattering light.
CBS Presents Oprah With Meghan and Harry will air tonight (Sunday March 7th) from 8-10 p.m. ET / PT on the CBS TV channel in the United States. It’s also available on CBS.com when you sign up with your local cable provider and Paramount + for streaming. The latter new subscription service, formerly known as CBS All Access, is now available for a free one month trial.
Although Queen Elizabeth is supposedly “cheesy” because of the sitting, she is not expected to sit around with a bowl of pretzels to watch. The interview will air early Monday in the UK but will be available on ITV at 9pm UK time on Monday.
ViacomCBS Global’s worldwide distribution branch has also set up other international broadcasters from Australia to Switzerland.
CBS is also available for live streaming services like fuboTV (which you can also currently use a free trial for).
