Chechnya-born Swedish sensation Khamzat Chimaev is fighting to land a notable opponent. His current ranked status makes it difficult for a top fighter to face him. But a man offered him a chance.

This man is English middleweight contestant and former welterweight title challenger, Darren Till, who used social media to offer the diehard UFC newcomer a potential chance.

“Rankings have never played a role in @ufc,” tweeted Till.

“@KChimaev, after destroying Jack (Hermansson) in December, if you’re still having trouble getting a match I’ll try the big boy son !!!”

Chimaev had previously tweeted that he had been offered welterweight Stephen “Wonderboy” Thompson and former middleweight champion Chris Weidman for 185 pounds, but both potential opponents turned down the fight.

Chimaev’s manager Ali Abdelaziz even joked about the difficulties he has in finding his client in combat.

“I want to give everyone an update on the next fight from @KChimaev,” he tweeted last week.

“The UFC is working very hard to find an opponent. One opponent said he was sick, another had changed his citizenship so that he could not go to the US without a visa. And the third man said he was too old.”

I want to give everyone an update on @KChimaev in the next fight. The UFC is working very hard to find an opponent. One opponent said he called in sick and that someone else changed his citizenship so that he cannot go to the United States without a visa. And the third man said he was too old. 😂

But now it seems that Chimaev has a potential dance partner for early 2021. The big question for now is who he’ll be up against next, as he’ll want to fight at least one more time before the end of the year.
