EXCLUSIVE: Jeremy Walters and Tommy Reid, the writer and producer of the real-life gangster drama Kill the Irishman, are collaborating again on the independent feature Bitter Sweet.
Bitter Sweet follows a humble ex-cop believed to be a notorious mob killer who is embroiled in a mystery to hunt down the men who brutally murdered his wife.
Walters will direct a script he wrote for a production shoot in Cleveland and Columbus, Ohio next May.

The casting for Bitter Sweet is currently underway with casting director Venus Kanani (The Benefits of a Wallflower, The Divergent Series, Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s Don Jon).
Reid and Walters are also partners on their documentaries Kings Of The Beach, which are currently in preproduction. While Dogtown and Z-Boys recorded skateboarding, Momentum Generation for Surfing, Kings of the Beach explores the roots, history and rise of professional beach volleyball, its legendary players, the territorial rivalries and difficulties of the sport that eventually went Olympic. Reid will co-direct and produce with Walters, who produces and edits.
Kill the Irishman, directed and co-written by Jonathan Hensleigh’s stars Ray Stevenson, Vincent D’Onofrio, Christopher Walken and Val Kilmer. The picture was recently one of the most watched films on Netflix, reaching number 8.
