Roommate, more than a month has passed since Chadwick Boseman’s tragic death, and many of his friends, family members and co-stars have spoken out about the impact he’s had on the entertainment industry. One of the biggest questions that has gone unanswered since his death concerns the fate of the Black Panther film franchise, and Letitia Wright has just weighed the situation.
As we previously reported, Chadwick was reportedly preparing to shoot the sequel to the film a week before his death, and Disney isn’t sure how to deal with it. Fans have suggested that Letitia Wright, who plays T’Challa’s younger sister in the movie, take the lead, but she says it just wouldn’t be right without Chadwick.
“We only mourn Chad, so I don’t even want to think about it,” Letitia told Porter Magazine. “The thought of doing it without him is kind of strange.”
After the announcement of Chadwick’s death, Letitia paid tribute to him with a spoken word piece she wrote.
“It is written there is nothing new under the sun. But the sun stood still that morning and refused to shine, ”she said. “Dark clouds surround, confusion sets in. Tears flow, rivers so deep. I didn’t know I woke up with it – my brother, an angel on earth, has left. “
She goes on and says, “And all that is left now is that we let all the seeds that you planted on the earth grow, bloom, become even more beautiful. You are forever in my heart “
Chadwick may be gone, but he will never be forgotten. His legacy of a man who broke barriers and made room for those who needed it will live on.
Keep Chadwick’s loved ones in your thoughts and prayers during this time, Roomies.
