LisaRaye clears the air over some comments she made in defense of a New York radio host who was fired after comparing black women’s skin tones to his toast color preferences.
Rob Lederman, who was fired after the racist remarks, angered many people, including one of the celebrities he named in the segment.
“I have them for attractiveness to women who I find attractive,” said Rob of his toaster settings. “So I’ll never get a Serena Williams level, but I’m very comfortable with… a Halle Berry level. I mean, a little mulatto will come through. “
I haven’t heard this live, but the internet holds receipts. @ 97RockBuffalo Morning hosts compared how they like their toast to the skin tone of black women. In case you missed it too, check out pic.twitter.com/6nVolu5a23

The whole ordeal was a topic of discussion on Fox Soul’s “Cocktails with Queens” after Halle Berry called Lederman over his “disgusting” remarks.
While the rest of her co-hosts dragged Lederman for disregard for black women over filth, LisaRaye got some heat claiming Lederman hadn’t said anything wrong and that he had merely indicated his preference.
Some fans even called LisaRaye a colorist for not speaking out against Lederman’s problematic testimony, but when TMZ caught up with her, she decided to defend her own name.
LisaRaye stated that she did not support Lederman but made it clear that she was defending his right to preference. She also stated that she was not a colorist and mentioned that we lived in “sensitive times”.
