Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has downplayed reports that the Egyptian striker is unsettled at the club after speculation linked the star with a move to Spain and claimed he was unhappy.
In a recent interview with AS, 28-year-old Salah said he was “disappointed” that he was overlooked in the Champions League match against Midtjylland in Liverpool because of the captain’s armband.
Salah’s former Egyptian national team-mate Mohamed Aboutrika has said his friend is not happy in Liverpool, while the striker himself recently hailed Barcelona and Real Madrid as ‘top clubs’ when asked about the prospect of moving to Spain.

But Liverpool boss Klopp quickly informed the Egyptian star about the Egyptian star’s dissatisfaction at the press conference on Thursday before the Reds’ meeting with West Brom on December 27th.
“Mo is in a good mood, a good moment and in really good shape – that’s the most important thing for me,” said the German.
“We didn’t have any pictures [from the training ground] this morning, but if we’d done that you would have seen him laugh a lot.
“The rest is nice for [the media] to write about it, but nothing really internally, ”he added.
Salah has been at Liverpool since joining from Roma in 2017 and has scored 110 goals in 173 games for the club. He won the Champions League title in 2019 and the first Premier League title in 30 years last season.
