If Twitter were giving awards for spicy comebacks, Logan Paul would be today’s recipient after the popular YouTuber gutted former baseball star Jose Canseco after being called out to a celebrity boxing match.

Logan, the older brother of the equally vapid Jake Paul, remains without a win in his boxing career after facing online rivals KSI twice. However, given Paul’s vice-like grip on large swathes of millennials, he remains a huge draw in the sport – and six-time MLB all-star Canseco says he wants some of the action.

Undoubtedly based on last weekend’s combative curiosity success with Mike Tyson and Roy Jones (and Jake Paul), 56-year-old Canseco posed a cryptic challenge of his own to the Logan Brothers, in which he said, and we quote: “Me will fight anyone in the Logan Brothers who has enough for anyone who has talent or fighting ability. “

Trust us, there’s a battle challenge somewhere.

However, Logan Paul increased the stakes significantly in his response, reminding Canseco that he had “smashed” his former Playboy model daughter Josie Canseco.

Okay, since you like smashing Canseco Logan, get my agent Mike Maguire. Let’s do that

BTW, Logan Paul, I’m a huge Floyd Mayweather fan. If you take this fight it will train me then you will get really into trouble

Ouch. If Canseco didn’t regret his tweet as soon as his thumb hit the send button, he almost certainly did so after reading Logan Paul’s response – and the relentless trolling that followed.

“Old people should stay away from social media,” wrote Jake Paul in his response, while others noted that if Logan intended to return with Josie Canseco, those hopes are certainly dead in the water by now.

“Bro, you’ve just sealed the deal not to come back with your daughter,” wrote one Twitter user, while another asked Paul to “rattle some grammar into his brain.”

If the match between Logan Paul and Jose Canseco comes to fruition, it won’t be the first time the ex-baseball player has played in the square circle after taking part in celebrity boxing matches for the past decade.

Canseco also set a 0-1 record in professional mixed martial arts, beating himself 77 seconds in the first round of a fight with the 7ft 2in Hong Man Choi in 2009.
