Hat-trick hero Kylian Mbappe gave Khabib Nurmagomedov a signed jersey after Real Madrid fan saw him destroy Barcelona in the Champions League – and the UFC superstar even caught keeper Keylor Navas on the team bus.
Lightweight champion Nurmagomedov first announced that he would take part in the thrilling round of 16 in the afternoon of the game and invited his millions of fans to follow his journey on Instagram as he headed to the iconic Camp Nou in the Spanish city.
Nurmagomedov had posted a message of support for French giants Paris Saint-Germain and he was not disappointed as the visitors achieved one of the most memorable results in history with a 4-1 win, including three great goals from World Cup winner Kylian Mbappe.
The Russian legend watched from the sparsely populated grandstands as Lionel Messi – a genius Mbappe hopes to succeed as Ballon d’Or winner – gave Barca the lead with a forceful penalty within half an hour.

That was as good as for the home team captain. Barca had no answer to Mbappe’s speed, strength and ingenuity as he scored three times in less than an hour, along with Italian prodigy Moise Kean evaluation sheet.
With no away fans officially participating in a closed-door game due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Nurmagomedov’s footage on social media appeared to show the majority of viewers in Barcelona masks, understandably looking upset during their team’s massive defeat.
The undefeated fighter had one of the best prospects in the huge stadium when he caught French striker Mbappe curling in his third goal in the 85th minute, potentially knocking out Messi and Barcelona quarter-finals hopes.

Mbappe, 22, signed a shirt for Nurmagomedov after the win, and the Dagestani stood next to goalkeeper Navas next to the PSG brand manager, holding another signed shirt as the stopper grinned and put an arm around his shoulder.
“Thank you very much,” Nurmagomedov labeled the picture with Navas, although Paris might owe “The Eagle” some gratitude after another excellent result in his presence.
Nurmagomedov appears to be a lucky charm for the Ligue 1 champions who beat Madrid 3-0 at home in September 2019 when he met David Beckham, the former English midfielder who represented both teams before retiring.

If he was less overjoyed with the result that night, Nurmagomedov was probably politely delighted to have seen PSG as he nearly ended arch-rivals Madrid’s hopes of being widely competitive this season.
Fans of the retired MMA powerhouse are always looking forward to glimpses of hope that he will make a comeback following his announcement that he will end his fighting career after beating Justin Gaethje last October.
Barcelona will also spend the next month hearing of weak comeback claims as they have to take inspiration from the spectacular they delivered when they beat Paris 6-1 in a draw between the two clubs in the 2017 second leg They lost the first leg 4-0.
With Mbappe in great shape and playmaker Neymar likely to be back after injury in the second leg in Paris, Nurmagomedov will look forward to seeing PSG in the round of 16.
