“Lee’s skills are excellent. He is a negotiator and has a thorough and deep understanding of our content ecosystem and business negotiation in general, ”said Block. “His close relationships with our numerous national and international partners make Lee the perfect leader to lead our business and legal team, and we look forward to welcoming him to the Miramax home.”

At wiip, Lee was the architect of the studio’s business operations, which he built from the ground up. He led the company’s business negotiations and strategies at home and abroad. Wiip offers premium programs for OTT / streaming services and pay cable sockets, including Apple TV + (Dickinson) and Facebook Watch (Queen America). The company is expected to name a replacement soon.

Prior to wiip, Lee was the COO for both FremantleMedia North America and Shine America, now part of the Endemol Shine Group.

“As the demand for premium TV content continues to grow worldwide, Miramax is in a unique position to capitalize on. The energetic and creative leadership team, unrivaled IP library and access to capital backed by the strategic support of our parent companies ViacomCBS and BeIN Media make this an incredibly compelling opportunity to build a new independent television studio. “Said Rierson. “I’m very excited to be working with Bill, Marc, Amanda and the rest of the Miramax team to make this happen.”

Lee is also a work, employment and entertainment attorney who served as a business negotiator for the ABC Television Network many years prior in his career.
