Attorney for one of the top running backs in the NFL, Josh Jacobs, has denied that alcohol was involved after the Las Vegas Raiders star was booked by police for a collision hour with a vehicle after his final game of the season.
The Las Vegas Metro Police Department responded to reports of an accident near McCarran Airport and arrived at Jacobs, one of the city’s most famous athletes, suffering from “minor injuries” sustained in the accident.
Jacobs was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment and then to the Clark County Detention Center, where he was handed a DUI (Driving Under the Influence) charge.
Prior to his meeting with the authorities, Jacobs had played in his team’s 32:31 win over the Denver Broncos, where his two touchdowns and 89 yards on the ground were critical to his team, which had achieved his marginal victory.
According to sources, Josh Jacobs was seen just drinking Truly Hard Seltzer before going in his Acura NSX. It was reported that Jacobs only drank 2-3 seltzer before operating the vehicle. Surprisingly light weight run back from 220lb. There’s more to come. # RaiderNationpic.twitter.com / c0KMDCZ9Ry

Hours before his accident, Jacobs posted Instagram photos of him dancing with friends at a karaoke bar in Las Vegas – but Jacobs’ lawyers insisted that alcohol wasn’t a factor in the accident.
“No complaint has been filed against our customer and there are no blood test results to support an indication of impairment,” his lawyer said in a statement.
“We intend to pledge not guilty on behalf of Mr. Jacobs if he is ever charged.”
Jacobs has been a revelation since it was designed by the Alabama Raiders in 2019. In just 28 career starts, 2,215 career miles and 19 touchdowns were achieved on site.
Raiders officials – including the notoriously grumpy head coach Jon Gruden – will keep an eye on their precious asset so it doesn’t become the latest NFL sensation to waste its talents.
