Defeated UFC middleweight title challenger Paulo Costa has sworn revenge on Israel Adesanya after seeing footage of his rival throwing him up in the cage and mocking his coach immediately after his win.

Immediately after Adesanya’s TKO victory in the second round, the ‘Last Stylebender’ first celebrated with the X-rated gesture towards his opponent before exchanging insults with Costa’s coaching team and making a vulgar gesture with his hands.

The incident was apparently missed by Costa at the time, but now that the smoke was gone and the Brazilian had the chance to review footage of his first professional career defeat, it was clear he wasn’t too happy with his opponent’s antics.

When Borrachinha took to Instagram Monday night, he vowed to get revenge on Adesanya for what he described as a “disgusting act” after the fight.

“I come here to talk about the action the human garbage took after the fight. I didn’t see when I was there in the cage but I have seen now,” said Costa, who had visible damage to his right Showing eyebrow in the short video clip.

“I disapprove of 100 percent. To me this is mortal now. Nobody will …

“I want my rematch,” he continued. “And you know I am [going to] wait for you, something happened before the fight, I didn’t [making] Excuse me here my people, my fans, but I will fight him 100% and make him do it.

“These are my words. Save my words.”

Both Adesanya and Costa initially appeared conciliatory in the cage after the fight, with both men exchanging words and a handshake in the moments after the competition.

This also came after an unusually calm exchange between the two of them when they crossed at the Abu Dhabi fight hotel days before the fight, although tempers flared at the last Staredown.

However, if the bad blood between the two seemed defeated in the moments after the fight, it now seems to be in the past after Costa reacted angrily to Adesanya’s post-fight antics.
