Arsenal midfielder Dani Ceballos has given an unconvincing response to a report of an alleged training ground collapse with teammate David Luiz, telling his more than 632,000 Twitter follow-up that the incident was fabricated.
In a week of testing for the Gunners, Brazilian defender Luiz is said to have made an exception to a challenge from Ceballos in a training session after the 3-0 home defeat by Aston Villa, dropping him on the lawn and drawing blood from his nose.
According to widely trusted reporter David Ornstein, teammates and staff dropped out of the fight before sending the embarrassed couple home for three days while training continued in their absence.
Ceballos, who had no visible scars when he posed on Instagram with his girlfriend María Sánchez del Moral earlier this week, disproved the report by simply writing: “FAKE”.
Do you want to send proof? Maybe with a selfie with today’s date Daniel Ceballos?

Ex-Real Madrid playmakers Ceballos and Luiz, who signed with Chelsea for Arsenal last year, attended the meeting, along with squad members who had not been called up for international games during the week.
Arsenal were already forced to grapple with a number of unexpected concerns about the interruption of Premier League action, including striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang who had to sleep in an airport due to a travel problem with Gabon.
Newcomer Willian is also said to have made an apparently unauthorized trip to Dubai. The winger’s exotic vacation is reportedly under investigation internally by the club.
It is believed that Ceballos and Luiz apologized to the team and had to discuss the situation upon their return to training. Ornstein added that the 2018 Champions League winner was embroiled in a minor argument with striker Eddie Nketiah earlier this season.
Fans produced memes comparing Luiz to one of his lookalikes, The Simpsons character Sideshow Bob, and cheekily asked Ceballos to prove the incident hadn’t happened by providing a recent selfie.
When an Arsenal fan account claimed that Ornstein was “desperate,” the popular journalist replied: “Absolutely not.”

David Luiz punched Dani Ceballos in the nose during a training session at Arsenal recently. Mikel Arteta should be happy that at least one of his players can hit the target.

The report and some Arsenal fans pointed out that exuberance at the training ground was a positive sign, demonstrating the passion that top earners Mesut Ozil, who has not appeared for the club this season, has been accused of for lack.
“”[Conor] McGregor against [Dustin] Poirier is boring, “joked one report, referring to the UFC fight that was officially confirmed hours before the news of the dust cloud.
“Give people what they want: Luiz versus Ceballos.”
