As we all await the inauguration in Washington, DC in January 2021 to see President-elect Joe Biden sworn in, many can’t help but see all of the changes take place. Joe Biden was endorsed by many public figures, most notably his former comrade, President Barack Obama.
President Obama sat down with Gayle King today in his first interview since Joe Biden was elected President of CBS on Sunday morning. Gayle asked him if he had any advice for Joe, and Obama was quick to respond that he didn’t need his advice, but he would help him in any way he could, but he didn’t plan on working on the White House staff.
Gayle went on to say, “No cabinet positions for you,” and Obama jokingly replied, “There are probably some things I wouldn’t do because Michelle would leave me. She would say, ‘What? You’re doing what?'”
Former first lady #MichelleObama enjoys her time in a somewhat normal life. During the interview, Obama stated that after Michelle left his position and left office, he could relax and release a breath she had been holding “for nearly 10 years.”
He went on to say Michelle felt that after the presidency ended, she could let go of the stress of feeling like she had to do everything right all the time.
While we love Obama, we have to respect that Michelle deserves a break. While Barack is no longer in office, he and Michelle have been busy. President Obama is dropping his new treatise “A Promised Land” this Tuesday, November 17th. The memoir describes his tenure as President of the United States from 2009 to 2017.
