Prosecutors in the trial against former FIFA general secretary Jerome Valcke and PSG president and chairman of beIN Sports, Nasser Al-Khelaifi, have demanded that both men be sentenced to prison terms for corruption and TV rights at the World Cup.

Valcke has been banned by the FIFA Ethics Committee for violating ethics for 10 years. He has been charged with taking bribes, aggravated criminal mismanagement and forgery of documents, while Al-Khelaifi, who is also a member of the executive committee of European football administrators UEFA, was accused of inducing Valcke to aggravate criminal mismanagement.

The process is currently running in Switzerland and is expected to last until September 25th. Three federal judges are expected to pass a verdict by the end of October.

Before the verdict, prosecutors called for prison terms for both men – three years for Valcke and 28 months for Al-Khelaifi.
