A regular Russian Professional Football League (PFL) soccer game quickly got pretty chaotic after a sudden snowstorm turned the entire field of play to a blank sheet in just 30 minutes.
During a game between Volna and Volga, a blizzard broke out, forcing the officials to change the ball, which seemed practically invisible on the white surface.

The field was completely covered in snow within half an hour, and the two teams looked more like bandy players sliding around on the slippery grass.
The referees gave the placers a red ball in the second half to make the game a little easier in the harsh conditions.
The only goal scored in the 79th minute by Volga striker Ilya Karpuk, who gave his team the victory.
This was the last game of the PFL’s fall season, and games won’t resume until April.
