The major US talent agencies and a coalition of more than 30 leading sales agents in the independent film industry will meet starting November 9 for an online marketplace that is timed to match the American Film Market (AFM). The five-day market will be structured to give global buyers access to screenings, early footage, presentations by filmmakers, and other fundamental features of a film market.

Talent agents, sales representatives, and financiers are currently putting together an extensive list of sales packages and finished films. More details will be announced in the coming weeks.

Similar to the virtual market in Cannes, the companies work together and use digital platforms to offer buyers and sellers a universal experience. Screenings and presentations by filmmakers are scheduled for a variety of time zones due to the remoteness of the market.
