Eleventh Hour Films has taken over the rights to Hunting Ghislaine, a podcast about the disappearance of Jeffrey Epstein’s close associate Ghislaine Maxwell, to turn it into a limited-edition TV series.

The six-part podcast was created by LBC after being commissioned by the parent company of UK radio station Global and The Story Lab, which is part of the Dentsu advertising group. It was presented by former BBC journalist John Sweeney.

Hunting Ghislaine tells the story of Maxwell, daughter of disgraced billionaire media tycoon Robert Maxwell, who allegedly supported and promoted Epstein’s series of sex crimes.

Maxwell disappeared when Epstein’s life began to unravel, but she reappeared when she was arrested by the FBI last year. She denies six charges of seducing girls into sex with Epstein and perjury.

Paula Cuddy, Eve Gutierrez and Jill Green will co-produce with Chris Baughen for Global and Robbie Ashcroft for The Story Lab for Sony-sponsored Eleventh Hour. Sweeney will serve as series consultant and executive producer.

Cuddy, Creative Director of Eleventh Hour, said, “John’s compelling podcast, Hunting Ghislaine, centers on Ghislaine Maxwell, unraveling her story and asking what went wrong for the girl who apparently had it all. In a richly glittering international world, dark secrets are revealed and the defining relationship between a daughter and her father always appears in the shadows. It has all the hallmarks of a premium drama. “
