UFC fighter Paige VanZant had an unusual 27th birthday. She watched her fighter husband have surgery after inviting fans to pay for new photos and video on her fan page and to buy their gifts.
The newcomer to the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC) got off to a relatively cautious start to her special day and referred admirers to her fan page after delivering a preview snapshot of a typical close-up photo session in lingerie the day before.
Describing the shoot as a “birthday present from me to you,” Instagram sensation VanZant promoted the $ 9.99 website to see their exclusive content on their gifts.
She later promised to send “my wildest video yet” to subscribers, thanking those who bought her “amazing” gifts and raving, “I feel so loved.”
Fans, used to the UFC staff member’s usual shiny glimpses of her life, may have been a little surprised by her plainly nondescript footage from a medical center wearing socks and sandals as she watched her husband – Bellator MMA- Star Austin Vanderford, who often took part in brutal shots with her on Instagram – added stitches by an expert to a cut on his face.
“He was just being cut open during jiu-jitsu – nothing crazy,” she explained, standing over the half-naked Vanderford while he was on an attention cart, adding that she was a “medical freak”.
The extroverted couple took the opportunity to conduct a 15-minute question-and-answer session on Vanderford’s side, though the audience spent much of the opportunity flooding VanZant with birthday wishes.
VanZant stated that she would like to have the stitches removed from Vanderford’s face and admitted that she recently had experiences with it after removing her own stitches from her last fight when she was ruled by a decision on a bloody BKFC debut lost to Britain Hart.
After Vanderford said the couple would be eating sushi to celebrate VanZant’s birthday, the hugely popular pin-up revealed that she is currently training in boxing and showed a large scar on her arm.
UFC fighter Mike Perry’s girlfriend, Latory Gonzalez, was among VanZant’s high profile friends for sending her birthday greetings.
