Cristiano Ronaldo’s sister Katia Aveiro attacked the Portuguese media in the fallout of the World Cup qualifying scandal on Saturday.

The Juventus star believed he scored a late goal against Serbia, which shockingly wasn’t given.

With replay showing the ball had a good distance in the back of the net, the incident has become a national scandal due to a lack of goal-line technology and VAR that have been blown up by fans and experts.

As always with controversies surrounding her brother, Katia Aveiro has jumped in defense of CR7 after some analysts commented on his stance.

Disgusted by the officers’ poor judgment, he tossed the captain’s armband on the floor and stormed off – something Aveiro addressed in a long Instagram rant on Sunday.

Reminding her followers that Ronaldo has always fought for their country, she switched to television “analysts” – in bogus quotes – who “dare to criticize Cristiano’s attitude”.

She called Portugal a “sad country” “that continues to have manipulative and blind media in which some will be allowed [to do what they want] and other… [for them] nothing is allowed! “

Aveiro went into Portuguese history and concluded by saying: “Congratulations, Cristiano, on yesterday’s outrage over the defense of Portugal! [people who wish to make] Remarks”

Aveiro’s breakout is undoubtedly a reaction to former Portuguese striker Fernando Meira, who told national broadcaster Record: “It’s clearly a target but Ronaldo can’t throw the armband on the ground like that.”

“Cristiano’s reaction is natural but unacceptable from the national team captain. You can’t throw the armband on the floor and go to the dressing room while the game is still on,” he added.

“It’s not acceptable behavior for a player of his stature. I understand his frustration and I agree with him because his goal should have counted, but the referees have to make a decision without a VAR and he has to set an example. The example he is last night wasn’t good enough. “

But this isn’t the first time Katia has been blown off the hilt to fight her little brother’s corner.

Aveiro, who recently trolled Lionel Messi when Juventus beat Barcelona in the Champions League in December, has also dubbed the football legend’s positive coronavirus test and the pandemic the “biggest scam” she has ever seen.
