India recorded 103,558 new Covid-19 cases on Monday, the highest single-day increase in infections in a day in the pandemic.

The number of new daily cases in India has increased steadily since March 10, and the country reported 741,830 active cases as of Monday – the most since October 20.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired a high-level meeting on Sunday to review the situation in Covid-19.
