Joe Rogan’s Spotify podcast – one of the world’s most popular shows – should be canceled due to perceived and repeated “transphobic” comments, says transgender-retired MMA fighter Fallon Fox.

Rogan added a few zeros to his net worth last year when he signed a multi-year, $ 100 million deal with online streaming giants Spotify. However, Fox has asked the company to pay for one of its precious assets for what has been termed numerous “transphobic” comments from the popular podcaster and UFC commentator.

In a recent “Joe Rogan Experience” episode, Rogan appeared to question the motivations of some people seeking sex, while also questioning the supposed media recognition many receive – calling it a “protected issue.” “.

“There are people who really have these thoughts,” Rogan told comedian Jim Breuer, MMA outlet Bloody Elbow reported. “The problem is that it becomes a protected topic and then you get praised for having transferred your gender – for changing your gender. And then it gets exciting for people to talk about it, and then you get for it punished for discussing it in strange ways.

“And then people who have been marginalized for being – like stupid people in general – are praised for skipping over and becoming a different sex,” he added. “There are a lot of people who are idiots but then they go trans and now all of a sudden we think they are amazing.”

Rogan’s comments seem like a barely veiled hint of a feud with Caitlyn Jenner, the former Olympic champion’s decathlete who would appear as a trans woman six years ago. Rogan mentioned Jenner in both his stand-up comedy and podcast, and last year urged Jenner to bring the issue to TMZ.

“He’s a homophobic, transphobic ass,” Jenner said. “He got his fame by knocking down other people.”

According to Fox – whom Rogan previously referred to as a “bloody man” – Rogan’s comments to Breuer were unacceptable.

“Joe Rogan is transphobic again,” she wrote on Facebook. “He’s had more transphobic episodes than you can imagine. Spotify has already had to cancel its show.”

Criticism of Rogan has picked up pace online since his multi-million dollar deal with Spotify was announced last year. It was reported last year that the content of some episodes of ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’ had caused tension with some employees at Spotify headquarters. Some are reported to have requested that some episodes be retired and editorial scrutiny continued.

These were shot down by both Spotify and Rogan himself, who referred to the matter on a subsequent show.

“But I understand, you’re a 23 year old woke up kid working for this company and you think you’re going to put your foot down,” he added. “I get it.”
