Tyson Fury has warned that there is only one day left to secure a spot in the scheduled heavyweight title bout against Anthony Joshua in July.
Last summer, a dizzying shirtless Tyson Fury announced in an Instagram video that his agent, alleged Irish gangster Daniel Kinahan, helped secure a deal for two gigantic showdowns between the two fighting Brits – before several promotional and broadcast problems on the street threatened Scupper with battle.
About a month ago Joshua’s promoter Eddie Hearn rekindled hopes the fight could be arranged when he announced that both Joshua and Fury had signed contracts ahead of a fight in July – but the Matchroom Boxing boss didn’t make that loud pronounced that was reportedly the contracts have an expiration date that is fast approaching, according to Fury.
Fury went back on social media Friday to sound the alarm of the possible collapse of a superfight. He wrote that there was “one more day” left for the terms to be agreed as they relate to the most recent contract between the two boxers.
Most of the raid is believed to have occurred at a location where the fight has not yet been agreed, despite interest from the Middle East having been reported.
And since boxing is boxing, it’s also believed that there are more than a few folds in terms of broadcast rights and any number of the other variables that go into an equation of this magnitude.
But just minutes after Fury took to Twitter to express his frustration, Joshua also went online to give fans a “quick update”.
Fast update. Myself, @ 258mgt & @MatchroomBoxing are working really hard to make the fight happen. I want to give my fans what they want and you know I’ll do anything to deliver. Hope to share some positive news soon.

“Quick update,” he wrote. “Myself, @ 258mgt & @MatchroomBoxing are working really hard to make the fight happen. I want to give my fans what they want and you know I’ll do whatever I can to deliver. Hope to share some positive news soon . “
The timing of Joshua’s tweet was interesting as it got around an hour into Fury and raises questions about which side is more responsible for the negotiations, which seem to have stalled.
AJ won’t agree. He and Hearn lose everything after the fight

Ffs come on … compare AJ’s boxing skills to Fury, it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to find out who is way superior. The only chance he has is to get Fury with a lucky shot. My money is on rage (literally £ 2000) for points.

Something is wrong here. One side clearly doesn’t want it

However, when the two fighters step into a ring, some fans say Joshua and his promoter Eddie Hearn could be quick to regret it.
“AJ won’t agree. He and Hearn lose everything after the fight,” suggested one fan, while another wrote that Joshua’s only path to victory is to land a “lucky shot”.
Another, however, was a little more conspiratorial.
“Something is wrong here,” they said. “One side clearly doesn’t want it.”
