Bellator is preparing for a reboot this spring, and light fighter Nurmagomedov will be among the protagonists when he appears on the main Bellator 255 map on April 2nd at Connecticut’s Mohegan Sun Arena.

The 23-year-old Nurmagomedov can look back on an 11-0 record in professional MMA and meets the American Mike Hamel, who stands 7-4 overall and lost his Bellator debut against Adam Borics last August.

“Excited for this one,” Coker wrote as he shared the match-up update on Twitter.

As part of the Nurmagomedov clan, Usman trained alongside Khabib and was a student of the UFC star’s late father, Abdulmanap.

He has also worked extensively with Khabib’s American Kickboxing Academy trainer, Javier Mendez.
